Added support for Shopify's new Dynamic Checkout Button feature. Essentially, what this does is optionally adds another button to product pages and quick view that allows your customers to bypass the cart and go right to checkout if they just want to buy that item right away. It is a smart button that will appear differently based on your payment settings. For example, on Safari browsers and iOS devices, a "Buy with Apple Pay" button may appear so users can checkout immediately with Apple Pay. Read more about it in the link added above.

Version 5.1

This is a fairly major update whose primary purpose was to fulfill Shopify requirements in two areas: sections parity (an effort to ensure that all themes in the theme store have several basic homepage sections in common), and to thoroughly audit images throughout the theme to decrease page loading times. We also took the opportunity to add a few new features and enhancements as noted below.

New home page sections:

Featured product - show a single product on the home page with the ability to choose options and add it to the cart
Image with text - a section with a half-width image with text next to it
Google Map - a map that shows your store location along with your store address
Newsletter - a full-width section with optional background image, call-to-action text, and a newsletter signup box

Image rendering and page speed enhancements:

Added lazy-loading support to all images throughout the theme so they do not load until the user scrolls to them in the viewport.
Adjusted image sizing throughout the theme to ensure that only the image sizes necessary are loaded based on the screen size and device used.
Improved rendering of images on Retina and other high-resolution devices.

Other new features and enhancements:

Improved quantity box on product page and quick view so you can type a number instead of just using the arrows.
Added swipeable product images in the gallery on mobile devices
Replaced the old Google map on the contact us page with a new map that allows you to add an address and "Get Directions" button. You can also just add your business address instead of having to determine latitude/longitude coordinates.
Added H1 tag to home page automatically (instead of requiring a Rich Text or other CTA block).

Version 5.0

Version 5.0 is a major update to ShowTime. The vast majority of theme files have been updated in some form. The primary difference in the theme is support for Shopify's new theme sections. The theme now supports this feature, which makes it easier than ever to populate your home page and other pages with content. You can also add as many sections to the home page as you want! So for example, you can have multiple featured collection blocks, have multiple sets of gallery images, multiple Instagram feeds, etc. if you wish. Other changes to the theme include:

New Feature! Completely redesigned AJAX shopping cart. When you add a product to the cart, you now (optionally) see your full cart in a modal window. You can edit quantities and remove products and the prices/quantities will update dynamically in real-time. Customers can reach checkout quicker than ever before.
New Feature! You can now add a custom menu to your collection sidebar
Enhanced video section on home page so you can now either embed a video or open it in a modal window
Enhanced featured products section on home page allows you to show products in a grid or carousel
Enhanced footer allows you to add two, three, or four columns with menus, text/HTML, or a newsletter signup
Enhanced Instagram functionality so you can select how many images to show per row on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices independently
Enhanced sidebar capability on collections, blog posts, and pages so you can now enable/disable them right from their appropriate settings areas
Added inventory checking functionality to product page so customers cannot add more quantity of a variant than is available in inventory
Many text fields in theme settings now allow you to easily add bold or italic text
Added background overlay options to video and home page call to action sections to make text more readable over background images
Added new section to home page to show the icon buttons that used to be in the footer to be added anywhere on the page
Moved payment method icons to the bottom right area of the footer
Fixed slide navigation buttons on slideshow so they no longer cover the text when it's aligned right or left
Fixed navigation issues on iPads or other tablets in landscape mode. You can now tap menu items to see the corresponding drop-down menu. Tap again to visit the parent link.
Changed newsletter functionality so it now creates new users in your Shopify account instead of using MailChimp. This was a Shopify requirement. You can still sync with MailChimp by installing their official app.
Removed ability to show Add to Cart/More Info buttons as you hover over products on the collection page. This was a Shopify requirement. Product quick view is still an option.
