Are your themes ADA (or other accessibility standards) compliant?
At this time, our themes are not guaranteed to be fully compatible with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) or W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) regulations or standards. That being said, all of our themes meet Shopify's current rigorous standards for accessibility.
Shopify has announced upcoming efforts to further improve accessibility throughout the entire platform, including themes. When and if these requirements are released, we will be required to update our themes to support these directives. It is important to note, though, that even if a theme is fully compliant, any third party coding (including app coding) could instantly make the store non-compliant, and there would be nothing we as theme authors could do about it.
Regardless of these requirements though, there are many things that users of our themes will be responsible for in order to ensure an accessible site.
If you are interested in modifying your store to maintain full compliance, we suggest reaching out to a Shopify Expert who specializes in accessibility for Shopify stores.
